Wanda to build cultural tourism city in Hefei

Hefei Municipal Government and Wanda Group signed an agreement to launch a mega cultural tourism project in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province on May 28, 2013.
With an investment of more than 30 billion yuan, the Hefei Wanda Cultural Tourism City will start construction this year and open in 2016, when Hefei is expected to become a world-class tourist attraction and a famous cultural tourism destination in China.
Located in Binhu New Area, the tourism city will cover 100 hectares with a total floor area of 900,000 sq. After completion, it will comprise functions of culture, tourism, commerce, hotel and bar street, and become Anhui’s center for science and technology, culture, finance, administration and tourism.
The tourism city can simultaneously accommodate 50,000 visitors with daily maximum accommodation of 100,000 visitors. It is expected to receive 20 million visitors per year.
It will create 30,000 job opportunities and pay over 500 million yuan per year in taxes with expected annual revenue of 5 billion yuan.
Characterized by unique innovation, master designers, and Wanda's own intellectual property rights, the Cultural Tourism City is an innovative product from Wanda Group, which has rich experience in the commercial, cultural and tourism industries.
Besides the Harbin Cultural Tourism City which started construction this April, Wanda plans more similar projects in cities including Nanchang, Wuxi and Guangzhou.
